He was a politician and teacher. Ahmed was the Bangladesh´s President in period from 2002 to 2009. He graduated at the Dhaka University where he earned his first master´s degree. The second master´s title earned in the United States and a doctorate title from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Ahmed died of complications following heart surgery on December 10, 2012.
